All-On-4 Dental Implants

Patients wearing traditional dentures often struggle with chewing and speaking clearly.

All-on-4® dental implants can secure your denture in place in less time and with fewer surgeries than traditional implants require.

What Makes All-on-4 Different?

Traditional implant-supported dentures require six to eight implants per arch, and the implants themselves often cannot support a denture until several months after placement. The All-on-4 technique can provide the same stability with just four implants that are usually ready to support a denture right away. The difference is in the strategic placement of the implants. Two posts are inserted at an angle in the back of the dental arch to maximize contact with the bone tissue. If you have experienced some bone atrophy after tooth loss, this solution often eliminates the need for bone grafting procedures and lengthy recovery periods, saving you time and money on treatment.

The All-on-4 method used at our Vero Beach-based dentistry practice gives many patients who don't qualify for traditional dental implants the chance to enjoy an implant-supported restoration.

"I Am Thankful."

I went today for the first time. I’ve been pretty scared of the dentist for a long time. Not the physical part but the financial. They were wonderful and definitely not looking out to price gouge me or charge me for things I didn’t need. For them I am thankful

Dr. Planes Discusses All-on-4

Planes Dental Arts offers All-on-4® dental implants to patients missing a full arch of teeth. Qualifying patients can receive just four implants to support an entire denture. Dr. Planes helps patients understand their teeth replacement options at his offices in Vero Beach and Port St. Lucie.
Quality Care At Planes Dental Arts

Dr. Alex Planes oversees every step of the dental implant process to ensure successful results and overall patient satisfaction. No detail of your care is overlooked. We begin by using high-quality implants from the trusted dental manufacturer Nobel Biocare®. These titanium implants are safe and durable enough to last a lifetime with proper care. Next, we plan your procedure with superior accuracy using custom surgical guides. The placement angle of All-on-4 implants is crucial for treatment success, and guides ensure precise placement. Your comfort throughout the entire process is a priority, so if you feel uneasy at any point, please let our dentist know. We have sedation options and can make other accommodations as needed.

Explore Your Implant Candidacy

All-on-4 dental implants are suitable for patients who are missing a full arch of teeth on the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Our dentist can determine your candidacy during a complimentary implant consultation at either our Vero Beach or Port St. Lucie office. We may recommend All-on-4 for patients who:

  • Have good dental health other than tooth loss
  • Are healthy enough to undergo surgery
  • Are non-smokers
  • Want a quick recovery process
  • Are facing the loss of all teeth at once
  • Want to leave the office with teeth the same day
  • Wish to avoid bone grafting
  • Are tired of loose dentures
  • Are concerned about the price of traditional implants

Treatment with dental implants is not recommended for patients who have severe medical conditions or are heavy smokers. Tobacco use and certain health concerns can impair healing and affect the success of your implants. To ensure you are healthy enough to undergo surgery, your doctor will review your medical history in detail during your dental implant consultation.

"Just the Best."

What to Expect During Treatment

Every patient of our Vero Beach-based dentistry practice receives a custom treatment plan tailored to their individual needs. While everyone's procedural timeline looks slightly different, you can expect to undergo these basic steps:
Dr. Alex Planes oversees every step of the dental implant process to ensure successful results and overall patient satisfaction.

Implant Surgery

We begin by administering anesthesia to ensure you do not feel any discomfort during the procedure. Once you are comfortable, our dentist will carefully place the four implant posts into the jawbone to replace missing tooth roots.

Temporary Tooth Restoration

In most cases, our dentist will attach a temporary restoration to the posts the same day as implant placement. Dr. Planes works with a skilled technician who comes into the office on the day of the procedure to craft your temporary denture. This prosthetic is stable and comfortable enough to wear over the next few months while you recover.

Over the next few months, the implants will fuse to the jawbone in a process known as osseointegration. During this time, you will visit our dentist's office several times so we can monitor your progress.

Permanent Dentures

The last step is to attach the permanent dental restoration to your implants. Your prosthetics will be handcrafted out of premium dental materials like porcelain ceramic to match the aesthetics of your natural teeth. Once they are secure, your treatment is complete.
What Do All-on-4 Dental Implants Cost?

Any type of dental implants treatment is going to be more expensive than a traditional denture alone, and the All-on-4 method is no exception. Although All-on-4 can help you avoid the need for procedures such as bone grafting, it shouldn't be viewed as a more economical alternative to traditional dental implants. Our Vero Beach-based practice accepts CareCredit® financing plans to help make dental implants treatment of both kinds more affordable.

During your free dentistry consultation, we will give you an honest recommendation in the interest of providing the most beneficial dental implants solution. We will also provide a transparent cost estimate to help you make the most informed decision possible regarding your dental implants procedure.
