I decided to become a dentist because I always had a strong passion for helping people. You know, basically, since I was the age of 6, I was lucky enough to meet a lot of great dentists in my life. My aunts and mother were dental assistants, so I completely understood dentistry from a very young age. At the age of 12, I started working as an assistant lab technician, and from that point forward, I knew that I wanted to help people, and I wanted to make a difference in this world.
Being a dentist, I enjoy basically taking care of so many people each and every day. I also enjoy meeting people from all walks of life, different cultures. And the most satisfying result is when a patient tells you, "Thank you, Dr. Planes, for changing my life." And they can be able to chew better and talk better and smile. And a lot of times, we hear patients state that they haven't even been able to smile in many years. And within a couple of months, we've been able to accomplish life-changing results within a couple appointments.
I started with me and my wife getting married, and starting this exciting journey of owning a practice, and now we have three beautiful boys. And it's very exciting that there's so many patients that know me from the very beginning, and they've seen my family evolving, and I've seen their family evolving. So it's kind of nice to see us all grow together.
