Veneers are porcelain laminates, which basically require minimal reduction to the tooth. And what we, basically, do is we send these out to the lab. It's basically an acrylic nail that we put on your tooth that reshapes, recontours, and gives you that asymmetry that we're looking for, ideally, as a patient. There's a material called feldspathic porcelain. We can use something called e.max. There's another product that's very popular. It's called e.max Layered. You can always use porcelain fused to zirconia, so the list goes on and on and on. It all depends on the dentist and the ideal outcome that the patient is trying to achieve. I've seen cases that have had veneers for 15 to 20 years, but I like to give an estimate that veneers can last anywhere from 7 to 10 years on average with good care. You have to take care of them like you do to your normal teeth, and they have a warranty from the manufacturer of three years. So you, basically, just got to take care of them like you would take care of anything in life.
